Why go green? Is it expensive? What can I do to help? Will it make a diffrence? Why bother? Studies have shown how going green can help you, animals, and the earth.
Going green is not only benifitial to the earth, but also to you. People who use wind turbines, a natural source of energy, found they saved 1/3 on there energy bills. By recycling our garbage instead of throwing it in land fills, we can save animals. Many animals mistake garbage for food and eat it, causing them to choke.Studies have shown thatin1990-2005 the amount of trash going into landfills increased by 9 million tons. Also, if we keep our recycling out of landfills we can decrease the size of the land fills and make more recycled objects to save money on buying new products. Studies have shown it's cheaper to use recycled steel rather than mine for new steel, almost 100% of all steel is reused. People have found that by recycling 2 gallons of oil, you could run electricity in your house for 24 hours. Going green will protect the earth for future generations to enjoy as much as we enjoy it today. People have realized that by useing solar panels they can heat 70% of water in a 3-4 bedroom house.
